Part of Violet's diary on teaching in Saskatchewan was published in Saskatchewan History (Winter 1984; Volume XXXVll No.1; pages 32 to 34) [her diary is now preserved in the Saskatoon archives].
Most of her writings on homesteading were originally published in the summer 1985 edition of Alberta History (Volume 33 No.33, pages 9 to 18).
